Whistler Olympic Park on pohjoismaisten hiihtolajien keskus olympialaisten aikana. Suomalaisia kiinnostavien maastohiihdon, yhdistetyn, mäkihypyn ja ampumahiihdon kaikki kisat järjestetään samalla alueella. Kaikkiaan Whistler Olympic Parkissa ratkaistaan 28 olympiakultamitalin kohtalo.
Maastohiihdon, yhdistetyn ja mäkihypyn urheilijat tutustuivat Whistlerin olympiamaisemiin viime vuoden tammikuussa maailmancupin osakilpailuissa. Anssi Koivuranta sijoittui yhdistetyn ensimmäisessä kilpailussa toiseksi. Matti Hautamäki ja Ville Larinto puolestaan saalistivat HS140-mäestä kolmannet sijat - toki eri päivinä.
Vuonna 2008 avatun Whistler Olympic Parkin rakennuskustannukset olivat noin 82 miljoonaa euroa. Alueella on yhteensä 14 kilometriä kilpalatuja maastohiihtoa ja ampumahiihtoa varten, kaksi mäkihyppyriä sekä erilliset stadionit jokaiselle lajille. Muita latuja on 35 kilometriä.
Ampumahiihtostadionin sakkorinkiä on syytä välttää, mikäli mitaleille mielii.
Suomalaiset Aino-Kaisa Saarisen johdolla yrittävät kahmia menestystä hiihto-stadionilla.
Mäkikotkat leiskauttavat siivujaan HS140- ja HS106-mäissä.

I´m coming to Vancouver to watch OC with my son. We have tickets to Whistler 19.2. (acct 921). How can we reach Whistler? Our accomodation is in wancouver City by Kingsway. By bus or by train?
You can travel there by bus. It takes about two hours from Vancouver downtown.
