Tanja Poutiainen puolustaa Torinon olympialaisten suurpujotteluhopeaa Whistler Creeksiden alppirinteillä. Tyynenmeren rannalta Vancouverista on matkaa 125 kilometriä Whistleriin, jossa vuoret kohoavat yli 2 200 metriin.
Syöksylaskut, supersuurpujottelut, suurpujottelut, pujottelut ja superyhdistetyt lasketaan Dave Murray -, Wild Card -, Jimmy´s Joker - ja Franz´s Run -rinteissä.
Whistlerin laskettelukeskus on koko Pohjois-Amerikan suurin. Kisojen aikanakin 90 prosenttia Whistlerin rinteistä on turistien käytössä. Tunnin aikana keskuksen hissit voivat hilata jopa 65 507 laskijaa rinteisiin.
Kalle Palanderia ei nähdä Creeksidessa, mutta Tanja Poutiainen pitää yllä Suomen mainetta.
