Slovakian jääkiekkomaajoukkueen päävalmentaja Jan Filc on julkistanut Vancouverin olympiaturnaukseen joukkueen, jossa mukana on 12 pelaajaa NHL:stä ja kahdeksan pelaajaa KHL:stä. Myös Miroslav Satan on mukana joukkueessa, vaikka hän ei ehdi pelata ennen Vancouverin kisoja kuin muutaman ottelun.
