Vancouverin olympiakisoista on tulossa Suomen historian kaikkien aikojen suurin urheilupettymys. Kymmenen kisapäivän jälkeen koossa on yksi hopeamitali. Naapurimaiden toimittajat pitävät Suomea suorastaan vitsinä.
